Alkaline Shrimp Tocos

Ingredients: 

  • Sprouted tortilla 2 1 tortilla 
  • Shrimp, Raw 2 oz 
  • Cabbage, raw 2 cup(s), chopped 
  • Onions, raw 1/4 small 
  • Red Tomatoes 1/2 cup(s) cherry tomatoes 
  • Cilantro 1 sprigs 
  • Avocados, raw, California 1 fruit without skin and seeds 
  • Olive Oil, extra virgin 1 tbsp(s) 
  • Lemon juice, raw 1/2 lemon yields 

Instructions: 

Grill your shrimp in a griddle pan lined with olive oil. Add salt, pepper and squirt of lemon to the fish and grill on medium heat. Feel free to season the fish with desired herbs. Remove from heat and put aside. 

To make salsa fresca, you simply mix your chopped tomato, onion and cilantro in a bowl. Add some salt pepper and a squirt of lemon or lime and mix well. You can also add diced hot chili peppers (jalape–o or Serrano) if you like it hot! 

On your sprouted tortilla, place the shredded cabbage, shrimp, avocado and top with the salsa fresca. Squeeze a little lemon or lime juice over the top. You can also add a little organic cucumber sauce or organic tzatziki sauce if you desire. Enjoy this Mexican feast! 

Tip: 

Vegetarians: Use tempeh or beans in place of shrimp
