Alkaline Spaghetti (w/ Zingy Tomato  Sauce)


  • This recipe makes 4 servings. 
  • 1 Serving = cup.  

Ingredients: 

  • Spelt Pasta 2 0.5 cup 
  • Red Tomatoes 2 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) 
  • Peppers, sweet, yellow, raw 1 pepper, large (3-3/4" long, 3" dia) 
  • Onions, raw 1 cup(s), chopped 
  • Garlic, raw 2 clove(s) 
  • Basil, fresh 4 leaves 
  • Tomatoes, sun-dried 1/2 cup(s) 
  • Olive Oil, extra virgin 1 tsp(s) 
  • Peppers, hot chili, red, raw 1/4 pepper 
  • Mushrooms, white, raw 1/2 cup(s), pieces or slices 
  • Spinach, raw 1 cup(s) 

Instructions: 

Cook the pasta according to directions. Pour olive oil in frying pan or wok and heat on medium. Start by adding the onion, red pepper, garlic and chili. Cook until 
browned. Next add the mushrooms, red tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes and spinach and cook for 5 minutes stirring well. Finally 
add the basil, salt and ground pepper. Pour contents of wok over cooked pasta. Mix well and serve this mouthwatering dish.
